Die Amp Simulation von Palmer ist sehr gut. Mein Gitarrensound wird dadurch deutlich aufgewertet und wird 'lebendiger'. Für Aufnahmen (Homestudio) auch super. Die Charaktere der verschiedenen Amps können einfach nachgebildet werden. Auch die Mic. Positionen sind total verschieden vom Hör- und Spieleindruck. Aber so soll es ja sein! Vorgeschaltete Booster Effekte gehen ohne Probleme. Nachgeschaltete Schimmer und Halleffektgeräte ebenfalls.
Wie bei allen Geräten muss (darf) man sich aber zuerst einarbeiten und etwas ausprobieren. Die Einstellmöglichkeiten sind erstaunlich variantenreich. Wenn man etwas von den Wechselwirkungen zwischen Gitarre/ Effekten und Gitarrenverstärker versteht (ich spiele schon über 30 Jahre E- Gitarre), ist es auch etwas einfacher das Beste aus dem Palmer herauszuholen.
Also ich für meinen Teil bin begeistert! Übrigens: mit einem herkömmlichen Röhren Amp oder Transistor Amp brauchst Du auch entsprechend 'fähige' bzw. erfahrene Techniker, die das Ganze gut abnehmen und abmischen. Mit dem Palmer MI Pocket AMP geht das schneller und einfacher. Nachtrag: Mittlerweile empfehle ich das Teil als Amp-Simulation meiner ersten Wahl, bei Gitarrenschüler und Gitarren Equipment Beratung. Es muss nicht immer das teuerste Teil sein. So geht auch! Super Sache. 

Erstaunlich gut

Das Teil macht was es muss. Brauche Pedal als Kopfhörerverstärker. Sehr guter Sound, auch mit Pedalen, der mir fürs Üben vollständig reicht.  Sehr robust und wertig.

Guter Kopfhpreramp

Es ist 3 Uhr, mitten in der Nacht. Du sitzt auf der Toilette und hast die Idee für den Song des Jahrhunderts. Hände waschen, Klampfe schnappen, das Palmerli an irgend was anstecken, das aufnehmen kann und die Geschichte ist gerettet. Da braucht's keine Plugins oder Treiber oder Interfaces oder irgendwas. Einstecken und der gewünschte Sound (bzw. etwas was recht deutlich nach dem gewünschten klingt) ist da. No fuzz, praktisch und klingt für ein zwei-Sekunden-Setup ordentlich.
