Der Preamp überzeugt mich auf der ganzen Linie. Meine Santa Cruz OM hat einen eingebauten passiven Pickup (K&amp;K pure mini). Von diesem gehe ich direkt in eine Sennheiser XSW-D Funkstrecke. Als Verstärker nutze ich den HK move 8. Dieses Setup erzeugt einen stark bass- und mittenlastigen 'boomy' Sound. Die Kangregelung der move 8 war ganz am Anschlag (Höhen voll auf, Bässe voll zu), trotzdem war der Sound noch sehr mittenlastig.
Nach längerem Nachdenken bestellte ich den Headway EDB 2 H.E, um den Sound zu verbessern. Nach einigem Probieren mit der informativen Bedienungsanleitung (Englisch) in der Hand fand ich eine Einstellung, welche einen sehr natürlichen Sound hervorbringt. Dazu brauchte ich v.a. den Notch Filter und den 5-bandigen Equalizer von Kanal 1. Ich würde sagen: Ziel erreicht!
Das Setup sieht nun so aus, dass ich mit der Sennheiser Funkstrecke direkt in den Headway Instrumenteneingang gehe und vom Headway via XLR Kabel in den HK move8. Dessen Klangeinstellung ist nun auf Neutral.
Ich kann den Headway nur empfehlen. Er könnte noch wesentlich mehr, ist ein universelles Werkzeug, ich kann mir vorstellen, dass man damit die meisten Probleme im Zusammenhang mit der Abnahme von akustischen Instrumenten in den Griff bekommt. Dafür ist er ja auch gedacht. 
Von mir gibt es dafür die volle Anzahl Sterne!
