Ich kaufte mir diesen offenen Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X (48 Ohm, Over-Ear Bauform) ergänzend als zweiten Studiokopfhörer
zu meinem altbewährten geschlossenen Sennheiser HD 25-1 II (75 Ohm, On-Ear Bauform), den ich seit 2010 im Einsatz habe.

Der Anwendungsbereich des Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X sollte bei mir vor allem im Bereich Mixing/Mastering liegen.

Verglichen mit dem Sennheiser HD 25-1 II hat er beim Anschluss an ein Tablet bzw. Smartphone die gleiche Ausgangsleistung mit einem satten Volumenausgang, ohne dass die Einschaltung eines Zwischenverstärkers nötig wäre wie bei anderen hochohmigen Modellen.
Der Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X weist aber als ein offener Kopfhörer einen minimal leichten Bassverlust auf, bietet dafür im hohen Klangbereich (Übertragungsbereich: 5 - 40.000 Hz) eine absolute Transparenz und entlarvt schlecht aufgelöste MP3-Files sofort.

Nach wenigen Hörstunden meiner Lieblingssongs von meinen Idolen wäre ich bereits in der Lage, mit diesem äusserst stabil produzierten Kopfhörer eigene Klangwerke abzumischen. Die Eingewöhnungsphase war bei mir ziemlich kurz… ich liebe vor allem das HD-Feeling, das beim Hören wohlklingender Musik aufkommt.
