The art work features the legendary Yoruba Queen Idia, whose famous bronze can be found in the British Museum. We wanted to pay tribute to the pre-colonial matriarchal societies that are often dismissed as myth by academics and the patriarchy. She is a symbol of female empowerment and her myth holds that the source of her metaphysical power comes from two medicine-filled incisions on her forehead. HOW TO USE: The burn time for the 9cl is 22 hours, and the 30cl is approximately 60-65 hours.
