Vorweg, ich besitze bereits das alte Set, welches ein Defizit bei der Passgrösse einzelner Drums aufwies, speziell die 14er waren für mein Pearl Reference Standtom nie hoch genug, ich hatte mindestens drei Exemplare probiert, und nur eines konnte mit Mühe verschlossen werden. Nun also neues Set, mit schicken orangen Streifen und sehr schöner Haptik, fürs Geld einfach top. Passt das 14er? Besser als die alten, aber immer noch auf den Zentimeter knapp. Ich hab zwei gekauft, um sicherzugehen. Und auch ein 16er, das nicht unbedingt zu hoch wäre für das 14er, aber im Durchmesser zu gross ist, eben auch nicht optimal. Alle anderen Größen, die ich im Set habe, passen einwandfrei. Warum man ausgerechnet beim 14er die Sache nicht mit zwei Zentimeter mehr Höhe nachhaltig in den Griff bekommt, bleibt mir schleierhaft.
