The Rhine Falls are located between the two cantons of Schaffhausen (municipality of Neuhausen am Rheinfall) and Zürich (municipality of Laufen-Uhwiesen). The middle rock forms the border.

With a width of 150 m, a height of 23 m and a discharge of up to 700’000 liters per second, it is one of the largest waterfalls in Europe. It was formed during the last ice age 17,000 years ago.

The Rhine Falls offer a unique and magnificent natural spectacle.
