The island of Catan is experiencing a new boom. Cities are prosperous and can now aspire to be elevated to the rank of metropolises. Resources have become more and more refined and are used in the construction of large buildings such as town halls, libraries and cathedrals. A real race for progress is underway! But a dark fate awaits the peaceful life of the inhabitants ... Savage barbarians coveting the riches of the island have already taken to the sea for Catan. Fortunately, the occupiers have been warned in advance and are preparing to bravely resist the invasion. Thus, to defend themselves, they recruit knights who will fight together against the invader. If they succeed in their mission, the bravest of them will be covered with glory. But if they fail, the entire population will suffer as cities will be plundered. This expansion brings a new dimension to the base game. In addition to competing with each other for the development of their cities, players must now ally and join forces in order to repel a common enemy.
