I bought these to replace some aging KRK 6 inch passive monitors. My home studio is a small rectangular space with a typically boomy and uneven low frequency character, which is why I wanted front-ported loudspeakers. As I hoped, the Tannoy Reveal 502s don't seem to excite the room so much. Bass is tighter and more even. Compared to the KRKs the midrange and treble are smoother, clearer and more natural. I'm very happy. I dropped a star for features because many competitive products have more adjustments to match the environment; these have only a top-end level selector. Highly recommended.
