Double braided nylon The outer cable jacket is made from a high-quality and durable nylon. Double braiding is a technique also used to make ropes, as it ensures maximum strength and greater resilience. Flexible insulation The cable has many wires next to each other to improve functionality and connectivity. The insulation protects the wires from damage when the cable is bent and stretched, but can also cause stiffness, which affects the elasticity of the cable. The highly flexible insulation in DuraTek reduces friction so the cable can be bent easily and the wires can move within the cable without breaking. Better strain relief The strain relief where the cable meets the connector head is longer than other cables. TPE provides more flexibility and the longer strain relief reliably absorbs stress. It also strengthens the connection from the cable to the connector head to prevent separation. In tests with more than 5000 passes in which the cable was bent 180 degrees, the cable has proven to be extremely resistant to splitting and breaking. TPE is not only flexible and soft, it also has a better feel and is more environmentally friendly than standard PVC.
